The Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports has declared the urgent occupation for the purposes of the compulsory expropriation of the parcels that will be subject to the LIFE GLOBAL project in the Municipality of Ribadeo (currently the beneficiary of said project), within the ZEC As Catedrais (ES1120005).
This represents a new step in the process necessary to implement the LIFE GLOBAL project, which proposes the increase of surface area and the improvement of the connectivity of priority habitats (4040*, 7220*) in vulnerable scenarios along the Ribadeo coastline, promoting their restoration to a favourable conservation status, as well as the elimination of uncontrolled pedestrian traffic by visitors along the coastal edge.
