On March 24, the LIFE GLOBAL project held a training workshop for stakeholder groups in Vigo (Galicia), at the headquarters of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Galician Atlantic Islands. As part of the 10th Study and Research Conference of the National Park, the project was presented to local and regional stakeholders, as well as representatives of social and economic groups that are directly or indirectly involved in or interested in the management and conservation of LIFE GLOBAL’s Natura 2000 sites.
The workshop included the participation of staff from protected natural areas, local entities, environmental organizations, and research entities and organizations. In this way, the workshop has contributed to promoting the active dissemination, information and improvement of knowledge of the characteristics and values of priority habitats and species, awareness of their conservation status and threat factors, and recognition of their value as a natural, cultural, social and economic resource, resulting in an increased impact of the transferability and replicability of the results of LIFE GLOBAL.
