During the month of February 2025, the works of collecting reproductive plant material to be used in the restoration of habitat 4040* Coastal heaths of Erica vagans in Ribadeo (Galicia), have begun. For this, a series of species characteristic of this type of habitat have been selected, according to the Galicia Habitat Manual, and collection of plant material has proceeded in the surroundings of the areas planned by the project, with the purpose of having reproductive material of local origin and compatible to use in the restoration works. During the following months, the collection of seeds and cuttings will continue, with the purpose of having material collected in different phenological periods and completing the plant production necessary to address the restoration, for which the project counts on the collaboration of the specialist team of the AgroBioTech for Health group of the University of Vigo.
