Students from the University of Salamanca visit the restoration areas of the LIFE Global project in Portugal.

On June 6, 2026, students from the Master’s program in Biology and Biodiversity Conservation at the University of Salamanca visited the LIFE GLOBAL project sites in Montesinho Natural Park as part of the course “Assessment, Cataloging, and Protection of Threatened Plant Species,” coordinated by Professor Estefanía Sánchez Reyes.

During the visit, the students toured several restoration sites and learned about the conservation actions the project is implementing to improve the conservation status of priority habitats.

The field activities also provided an opportunity to discuss habitat monitoring, ecological restoration, and the challenges of biodiversity conservation in protected areas. We thank Professor Estefanía Sanchez Reyes and her students for their interest and participation, and we hope the visit contributed to a better understanding of the role of LIFE projects in habitat restoration and biodiversity conservation.
