Researcher Maria Villa, from the Mountain Research Center (CIMO-IPB), participated in the Conference “Mountain Ecology in Portugal and Brazil”, organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) and the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) on October 20 and 21, 2025.
In the presentation “Restoration strategy of Eryngium viviparum, a critically endangered species, in the Montesinho Natural Park within the framework of the LIFE GLOBAL project”, he presented restoration and population reinforcement actions and measures to improve the conservation status of the temporarily floodable habitats where the species develops.
This participation strengthens the international visibility of LIFE GLOBAL and Portuguese-Brazilian scientific cooperation in the ecology and conservation of mountain ecosystems.
